Approx. 24cm square with 2.3cm rim height. Elegant plain finish suitable for sake or banquet use. The box is inscribed “Kuro Urushi-nuri / Hōin-an / Sōshun” and marked “Ten guests” on the reverse. Likely formerly owned rather than made by Sōshun. Dense wood base, estimated Meiji–Taisho period Kyoto work.【Condition】Antique used item. Previously used at sake or banquet gatherings.
